Create and Maintain a Classroom Website

This Class, Building & Maintaining a Classroom Website, will focus on:

    -Building a website from scratch using Open Source Free: NVU

    -Hosting/Posting websites on a server

    -Using free Website services (like Scholastic) to build a site

    -Using a Wiki like pbwiki.com to have a collaborative site

    -Adding pictures, links, tables, etc

*You will leave here with your own classroom website ready to publicize!!

-Webdesign: F scan, 3 links deep, download vs live, color scheme, naming files

-HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) editor: WYSIWIG NVU vs Dreamweaver & Frontpage

-HTML "sources" saving from other applications (Word or Appleworks) - text editors (Notepad, Textedit)

-Creating your site (offline) vs Hosting your site online

-Online website "design/build/host" examples:
